EMS Memorial Cooperative Hospital and Research Centre&'s Oncology Department is dedicated to the multidisciplinary management of solid tumors and haematological malignancies. Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art chemotherapy day care unit, trained doctors, and nurses to provide the best possible care to our patients. We understand that cancer treatment can be a challenging and emotional time for patients and their families, and we strive to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Our Oncology Department is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to our patients and is committed to helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our department offers a range of specialized treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. We also have facilities for administering intra-pleural, intra-abdominal, intra-thecal and intra-vesical chemotherapeutic agents. We have expertise in conducting bone marrow aspiration, biopsy, lumbar puncture, therapeutic and diagnostic thoracocentesis, and ascitic tapping.

Our preventive oncology service offers early detection and screening of various malignancies since early detection can significantly improve the chances of successful treatment and recovery. We provide hormonal/biologic therapy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis, chemical pleurodesis, and intrathecal administration of chemotherapeutic agents, used for patients with certain types of cancer and helps manage the symptoms, most importantly, improve quality of life.

We also provide care for chemo port/PICC line/central line and palliative oncology services, including  pain and palliative care for oncology patients to deliver chemotherapy and other treatments directly into the bloodstream and require specialized care and maintenance. Our Palliative Oncology services provide pain and palliative care for oncology patients. This is an important aspect of cancer treatment because it helps to manage the pain and symptoms of the disease and improves the quality of life for patients and their families.
