Overview

The EMS hospital's Gastroenterology & Liver Diseases department is equipped with the latest technologies and facilities to provide the most advanced care for various gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Our team of experienced doctors provides therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy services, which help in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders such as ulcers, polyps, and cancers. We also offer EVL, EST, GLUE Injection, Hemoclips, and Argon Plasma coagulation for the treatment of various gastrointestinal bleeding disorders. Polypectomy, oesophageal gastric and colonic stenting, and percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy are some of the other treatments we provide for gastrointestinal disorders.

For patients with liver diseases, we offer a comprehensive hepatology care program that includes the diagnosis and treatment of liver disorders such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Our ERCP-Pancreatic and Biliary Endotherapy services help in treating disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts. We also provide achalasia cardia dilatation, stone extraction, and stenting (plastic & metal), and EUS for FNA, Pseudo cyst drainage, and Choledochoduodenostomy.
Therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy are procedures used for diagnosing and treating digestive tract problems such as ulcers, bleeding, inflammation, and tumours. EVL, EST, GLUE Injection, Hemoclips, Argon Plasma coagulation, etc., are various techniques used during these procedures to treat gastrointestinal bleeding, remove polyps, and repair damaged tissues. Polypectomy, oesophageal, gastric, and colonic stenting are also used to remove abnormal growths or widen narrowed areas of the digestive tract, which can cause blockages or bleeding.

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is a procedure in which a tube is inserted through the abdominal wall to provide a direct feeding route to the stomach for patients who cannot swallow food or liquids. Achalasia cardia dilatation is a procedure that helps to open up the oesophagus for patients with achalasia, a condition that causes difficulty swallowing.

ERCP or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure used to examine and treat problems in the liver, bile ducts, and pancreas. It can remove gallstones, tumours, and other obstructions in the bile ducts. Stone extraction and stenting are also used to remove stones from the bile ducts and to help keep them open.EUS or endoscopic ultrasound is used for both the diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract problems, including tumours and cysts. It can be used to take samples of tissue for biopsy or to drain fluid-filled cysts. Comprehensive hepatology care includes the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases such as cirrhosis, hepatitis, and liver cancer. The department offers a range of treatments including medication, lifestyle changes, and advanced procedures to help patients with liver diseases.

At EMS hospital, our team of experts is dedicated to providing the best care possible for our patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Our facilities and technologies help us provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatments, improving the quality of life of our patients.
